Nice recount of the changing of leadership and the rise of another. It is indeed ironic and tragic that the leadership of Intel didn’t see this opportunity nor competitive threat, after all Intel used this exact play of volume and relentless technology cadence to defeat everyone else in the 90s and 2000s and didn’t matter what anyone else tried didn’t work. Intel know faces those similar circumstances without even studies history to realize both the risks as well as low probability of success of their current strategy.
Good history and insight
